Trailblazer Board & Train Package
3 Weeks Onsite Board & Train
3 Weeks At-Home Coaching
$4,830
A program designed for dogs who have basic foundational training, but need to grow their off-leash expertise and safely avoid hazards in rural adventurous environments. Includes special emphasis on snake avoidance using fear-free, force-free, and anti-adversive techniques.
Designed for Dogs with a Solid Foundation
This 3-week program is ideal for dogs who already have good leash manners, can pay attention, and are generally calm. It's perfect for owners who want to take their well-behaved dog to the next level, particularly when venturing into rural environments. The Trail Blazer program focuses on enhancing existing training and adding crucial safety skills like snake avoidance.
Positive Reinforcement Training for Enhanced Outdoor Adventures
I use positive reinforcement methods to teach your dog the skills they need to be a reliable and well-behaved companion outdoors. The program will help your dog develop:
Off-leash calmness and focus, even with distractions present in natural settings.
A strong recall that works even under challenging circumstances and at long distances.
Reliable leash manners and relaxation exercises for a more enjoyable experience.
Snake avoidance training (requires pre-existing foundational behaviors like recall and leash manners).
Commitment, Progress, and Flexibility
To ensure success, the program requires an initial 3-week commitment with a 50% upfront payment. The remaining balance can be paid in installments to fit your budget. I understand that every dog learns at their own pace. If your dog progresses quickly, we can discuss early program completion and transition you to coaching sessions sooner. For those who desire additional practice time with their dog at home, weekend visits can be incorporated into the program to reduce the overall cost while enhancing your training skills.
Snake Avoidance: A Lifelong Skill
Snake avoidance training builds upon the foundational behaviors your dog already has, such as recall and leash manners. The program uses a combination of odor, visual, and auditory cues to trigger your dog's recall and alert you to the presence of a snake. Our focus is on teaching you how to maintain this behavior chain so you can confidently navigate the outdoors with your dog. I also provide lifelong training tools and resources to ensure your dog's safety around snakes.
Transfer Coaching for Lasting Results
Once the board and train program is complete, I include three coaching sessions (virtual or in-person) to help you maintain your dog's newly learned behaviors. These sessions will involve activities designed to build upon each other, allowing you to refine your training skills and address any challenges you may face. You'll receive personalized feedback throughout the process to ensure lasting success.
BFF Board & Train Package
3 Weeks Onsite Board & Train
3 Weeks At-Home Coaching
$5,400
If you have a new puppy or a more mature dog and need basic foundational training, this package is for you.
Building Foundations for a Furry Friend
This 3-week program is designed for puppies, newly adopted dogs, adolescents, or even older dogs who need foundational training. It focuses on helping them learn calmness and attentiveness in our sometimes-overwhelming world.
The BFF program addresses common unwanted behaviors like leash pulling, jumping, and barking. Regardless of your dog's age, breed, or past experiences, I can help them develop a calm demeanor, not just because you tell them to, but because they choose it and are rewarded for it.
Positive Reinforcement Training for a Happy Relationship
I use positive reinforcement methods to create a training plan with daily exercises, enrichment activities, and rest periods. This helps your dog learn the desired behaviors discussed during our initial in-person consultation. The program's primary goal is to teach your dog calmness and attentiveness in various situations, including specific challenges you may be facing. These improved behaviors will enhance your dog's overall safety and allow you to enjoy a deeper connection with your furry friend.
Commitment, Progress, and Flexibility
To ensure success, the program requires an initial 3-week commitment with a 50% upfront payment. The remaining balance can be paid in installments spread out over the program. I understand that every dog learns at their own pace. If your dog progresses quickly, we can discuss early program completion, pro-rated refunds if applicable, and transition you to coaching sessions sooner. For those who desire additional practice time with their dog at home, weekend visits can be incorporated into the program to reduce the overall cost while enhancing your training skills.
Transfer Coaching for Lasting Success
Three coaching sessions (virtual or in-person, based on your preference) are included after the board and train program. These sessions can involve planned field trips, video review, in-person coaching, or live video calls - tailored to your learning style. The focus is on helping you maintain your dog's newly learned behaviors. I'll provide a series of independent activities designed to build upon each other, allowing you to refine your training skills and address any challenges you may face. You'll receive personalized feedback throughout the process to ensure lasting success.
Empowering You as a Trainer
Throughout the program, I'll delve into big-picture concepts like:
Generalizing learned behaviors to new situations
Desensitizing your dog to triggers
Implementing prevention strategies
Creating and using controlled distractions
Managing difficult situations that may arise during training
Our goal is to empower you to train your dog confidently through a series of exercises. I'll create a safe and positive learning environment for you, your family, and your new furry best friend!

At least 30 of those hours must be spent in public places. The amount of training in a day depends on what training is taking place and if the training results remain successful. Training sessions can be 1 minute or 1 hour.
